Our Unfriendly Tenants
Brian and I have some unfriendly tenants. Every time we use the front door of our house we are greeted by drive-bombing swallows (or at least I think they're swallows) protecting the nest they've built on our outside light. The birds don't stop long enough to get a decent photo, so the last picture below is the best I could do. Any ideas on what kind of bird this is?

It looks like the back is Blue. Check out the barn Swallow on Wikipedia and see if it looks like your Tenants. they do eat Mosquitoes but not ticks!
