Today I Turn 30

Today I turned 30. Well, Seth and I turned 30. I finally feel like an adult. I've gotten lots of messages and cards- thanks! The parents sent some great gifts. Don and Patsy sent me a rooster wall hanging (beautiful!). My Mom and Dad sent me flowers and chocolate at work. Thank you! We have a busy weekend ahead, so this is a really, really quick post. I'll write more next week, but wanted to get some photos up. :)

Congrats to my sister Jen and her hubby Dave on the birth of their two beautiful boys Connor and Wyatt. They were born on February 2, 2010. Aren't they adorable?

Mattie's Paw

Iowa is seeing the worst winter in a century. Everyone is sick of the snow, blizzards, and below zero temperatures. The constant barrage of snow and ice has been especially hard on Mattie's paws. She has naturally long nails, so running around on hard pack has caused a lot of breaking and splitting. This week she broke a nail all the way down to her skin. Brian took her to the vet on Thursday and she had to have a little surgery on her paw. They had to removed the whole nail. Hopefully it will grow back. In the meantime she is on pain killers and antibiotics and is hobbling around with her paw wrapped up. No playing outside for her for a few weeks. What a sad dog. At least her bandage has puppy prints on it.
